Weekly Roundup

30th June 2017
What a week! As the end of the school year approaches the children continue to maintain their focus the teachers have continued to ensure that they have incredible experiences. Monday was particularly busy as both the Year 5s and 6s were out on school visits. The Year 5’s had a brilliant time at “The Making of Harry Potter”. The trip fits perfectly with their theme (The Alchemist) and will help to maintain the rates of progress that we are seeing in writing.
Year 6 visited Knipton to play cricket and see some birds of prey. Their behavior was impeccable and they participated well in all activities.
On Wednesday the Violinists, Year 6 recorder players and Miss Clark’s class treated us to an amazing musical extravaganza. All of the children performed brilliantly. Their timing and concentration was exceptional and we were really proud of the way in which they performed.
On Thursday Sophie Alan (former national swimmer) came in to take an assembly and workshops for the girls in Years 5 and 6. She was really inspirational and provided a great example to the girls.
Finally, next Thursday evening will see “Marks Magic Kingdom” coming to school. It would be great to have a good turn out – details about tickets can be seen below.
