Weekly Roundup

22nd September 2017
School has been a hive of activity this week. Having arrived back for a 4 day week and then seen OFSTED visit in week 2 it is great to be back to normality. As I walk around the school I am delighted to see the way in which the children have settled and amazed by the quality of the work that has already been produced.
We were incredibly impressed with the way in which the Year 4s adapted to life on their first residential last week. They had a fantastic time at Stibbington and were a huge credit to the school. Staff at the centre even commented on the standard of the pupils’ behaviour.
The school cross country team was in action last Wednesday. They competed well whilst taking on a difficult challenge. Leo managed to achieve 8th place with Ronnie Mae 17th. We were really proud of all the children who entered.
On Wednesday this week we were delighted to welcome Maddie Brasier to school to tell the Year 1 and 2 pupils all about her time in Antartica! This was a brilliant experience for the children bringing our Polar Explorers theme to life.
Other exciting developments this week include the unveiling of House Captains and Vice Captains, the appointments of members of the School Council and the naming of our Bronze Ambassadors. Well done to all of the children who are representing the school in one of these areas.
