Weekly Roundup

28th April 2017
We are now two thirds of the way through the school year and are ensuring that we are doing all that we can for each of the children to make great progress by the end of the year. During May the children in Years 6 and 2 will be sitting the SATs (Standard Attainment Tests). We are doing all that we can to prepare the children whilst trying to ensure that they do not worry too much about the tests. All that we ever ask is that all of the children try their hardest.
On Tuesday the Year 4 pupils had an Egyptian experience (thanks to a grant that we have been given for this year group). They had a fantastic day and we were told how brilliantly they worked by the company who visited.
On Wednesday and Thursday the Year 1 and 2 pupils visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park to deepen their understanding of their “Go Wild” theme. They were brilliantly behaved.
The Year 6 House Games took place this week with some amazing play and great sportsmanship. The results were as follows:
Netball- Foale green house Hockey - Foale green house Football- Tennyson blue house
The matches were extremely hard fought with a penalty shootout in the Hockey to determine the winner!
