Weekly Roundup

9th June 2017
Despite the weather we have really enjoyed the first week back following the break. A lot is already happening and there has been a lovely buzz of activity around the school.

On Monday the librarians opened the Library for the first time. Mrs Moorcroft’s class are being used as the guinea pigs to test the library system. Each child in her class had the opportunity to loan a book. As we deal with any issues (books that won’t scan etc) we will ensure that we add additional classes to the rota. We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Anderson and her wonderful librarians for getting us to this point!

On Tuesday the pupils in Year 4 had a great Egyptian experience which included dance and music. It brought a different dimension to their topic and really enhanced their understanding of the subject.
Tuesday also saw the final of the Year 5 table tennis competition. Everybody who entered has shown great determination and sportsmanship throughout. After a hard fought final, the winner was Jack who just pipped Julia to the trophy.

On Thursday we took a team of Year 5 girls to compete in a competition at Jump Revolution. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience of representing school. They conquered their fears and worked hard together as a team.
