Weekly Roundup

15th September 2017
What a week! As you all know, on Tuesday we received a phone call from OFSTED to say that they would be visiting the school on Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to share the result of the inspection with you until we have received the final report. This will take approximately 4 weeks. However, as ever, the children made us all extremely proud during the visit.
At the end of last week the Year 6 pupils returned for their residential at PGL. They had a brilliant experience and enjoyed activities including canoeing, climbing, trampolining, orienteering and archery. They were a real credit to the school and will have learned a lot about their ability to rise to new challenges.
On Tuesday and Thursday the Year 3 and 4 pupils went on a day trip to Stibbington where they learned about the weather, including solar and wind power. They really did enhance their understanding of their “Extreme Weather” theme and will ensure that they produce some fantastic work in the week ahead.
30 of our Year 4 pupils then stayed at Stibbington for their residential yesterday evening. As I write they will be preparing for a day of activities and I am sure they will have had a great time when they return.
