Weekly Roundup

15th December 2017
December is always a massively busy month here at Isaac Newton Primary School. Whilst the school began to look Christmassy last week, it is this week that we really entered into the Christmas Spirit.
The Foundation Stage excelled in this year’s nativity performance. The progress that each child has made since joining the school is incredible and the way in which the children projected their voices and remembered their roles was amazing. Well done to each of the children.
The Juniors (Years 3-6) created a wonderful Christmas show which was seen by Parents/Carers twice this week. The range and quality of the performances from each class was brilliant and I am sure that each audience enjoyed them just as much as I did.
The school fair went brilliantly yesterday evening and was hugely enhanced by the number of donations made. Many thanks to the Lionesses who came to help us to decorate cakes and biscuits during the day. The winners so far are:
Weight of the cake Romany
Sweets in the jar Priya
Cupcake winners Alfie (Y6), Jared (Y2), Aleksandra (Y1),
Emily (YrR) and Amelia (Y1)
The raffle will be drawn next week and we will contact the winner. So far we have raised £350!
Thank you to everyone who contributed and a special thanks to Mrs Toole who organised the whole event. We will let you know how much we raised once we have counted it!
We will continue with festivities next week as the Infants (Years 1 and 2) have their performances and we have our Christmas Parties. Tuesday is a non-uniform day and having asked for donations for the Christmas Fair we are not asking for a contribution to take part.
Finally, this is the last newsletter prior to the Christmas break. I would like to thank all of the staff here at school for their continued hard work. The children are extremely fortunate to have such wonderful professionals working with them each and every day. I hope that you all have an excellent Christmas and a great New Year.
