Weekly Wonders!

28th January 2020
Rather than our usual Weekly Wonders update on a Friday, we opted for something a bit different this week...an action snapshot from Tuesday afternoon to portray all the wonderful things happening around our school at the same time!

EYFS pupils have been busy exploring 'We're going on a bear hunt' and even created their own film using the green screen. Take a look at their amazing artwork too...
We welcomed parents and carers to Year 1 for a reading event to encourage reading for pleasure at home...watch this space for pictures coming soon!

The children have also been very busy planting seeds and we saw some fabulous homework made from materials found in a forest!

Talking of forests, take a look at these wonderful pictures captured by one of our pupils when we created our own directions last week...
Year 2 were busy with PE on Tuesday afternoon, enjoying a range of athletics activities and some gymnastics...

They are also really looking forward to making their own stories this week.
Up in Key Stage 2, Year 3 was a very exciting place to be!

Times Tables Rock Stars is fuelling some engaging competition - have a look at how close it is between Class 7 and Class 8...

We were also presented some excellent work on both times tables and the Stone Age.

Class 7 then ended the day with a science experiment, looking at different types of rocks...
Year 5 have been looking at how mountains are formed and sketching fossils.

They were also very excited to talk about their Maths Murder Mystery to start the week where they had to use times tables and codes to work out 'who did it'?

Literacy has been full of exploring subordinating conjunctions!
And Year 6 have created some amazing mountain artwork!

Here is a sneak preview of some of the work that will be going on display very soon...
