Mrs Anderson and Mr Hill

9th February 2018
This week I have two significant announcements to make.
The first is that Mrs Anderson will be retiring from her role as Deputy Headteacher this Easter. Mrs Anderson has worked at Isaac Newton for 26 years and has made a massive difference to the pupils, staff and wider community involved in the school. She has been steadfast in her work for the school throughout her time here and the school will not be the same without her. We are devastated that Mrs Anderson is leaving and will make sure that we enjoy the next half term before she leaves.
The second announcement is that from September I will no longer be the Headteacher here at Isaac Newton Primary School and a new Headteacher will be appointed for September. As you all know, Isaac Newton Primary School is part of the Community Inclusive Trust. The Trust has grown considerably in the past two years and now has 4 mainstream primary schools. As such I will be line managing each of the Headteachers in the primary schools (including the new Head of Isaac Newton). I will continue to visit Isaac Newton on a weekly basis but will hand on the Headteacher role to somebody new. We will advertise for a new Headteacher within the next week. Should we decide that there isn’t a suitable candidate then I will remain as Headteacher until a new Head is appointed. I am extremely proud of the way in which the school has developed over the past four and a half years and feel that now is the best time to hand the running of the school to somebody new. Isaac Newton is an extremely special school so we will ensure that we appoint a great replacement.
Have a great weekend.
